You will no longer visualize Daliya (Broken Wheat) as a boring meal
Ingredients required (For 1 Person)
Daliya/Broken Wheat (3 tablespoon)
Green Lentils/Moong Dal (2 tablespoon)
1 Diced Potato
1 Chopped Tomato
1 Cup Diced Bottle Gourd (Lauki)
2 Chopped Green Chilly
Turmeric Powder
Cumin Seeds (Jeera)
Asafoetida (Hing)
Clarified Butter (Ghee)
Salt (As per taste)
Water
Method of Preparation
Chop all the veggies.
Heat a pressure cooker and add 2 tablespoon clarified butter (ghee).
Add 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds (jeera) and 1/4 teaspoon asafoetida (hing).
Add 2 chopped green chilly. Saute.
Add 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder (haldi).
Add in chopped tomato, diced potato and bottle gourd (lauki). Mix well.
Add 3 tablespoon broken wheat (daliya) and 2 tablespoon green lentils (moong dal). Mix well.
Add salt (as per taste) and 3 cups of water. Mix well.
Cook for 4-5 whistles on medium flame.
NOTE - If you add more water by any chance, you can dry it up on high flame with open lid (just keep stirring, so that it doesn't stick to the bottom).
ENJOY with Green Coriander Chutney or curd or just some ghee on the top
