It will revamp your love for them..!!
Ingredients required
Chopped Spinach (200 grams or 1 bowl)
1 Chopped Tomato
4-5 Garlic Cloves (Finely Chopped)
2 Green Chilly (Finely Chopped)
1 Inch Ginger (Finely Chopped)
5 Tablespoons each of Black Lentils (Urad dal) and Green Lentils (Moong dal)
Cumin Seeds (1 Tablespoon)
Ghee/Clarified Butter (1 Tablespoon)
Asafoetida/Hing (2-3 Pinch)
Turmeric Powder (1/2 Teaspoon)
Red Chilly Powder (1/2 Teaspoon)
Salt (As per taste)
Water (3 Cups)
Method of Preparation
Mix & soak both lentils (dals) in water for 10-15 minutes.
Heat 1 tablespoon Ghee/Clarified Butter in a cooker and add 1 teaspoon cumin seeds. Let them splutter.
Add 2-3 pinch asafoetida (hing).
Add chopped garlic , green chilly and ginger. Saute well.
Add 1/2 teaspoon each of turmeric powder & red chilly powder. Mix well.
Add one chopped tomato & mix well.
Add chopped spinach (palak) and soaked lentils.
Mix well & add water.
Close the lid and cook for 4 whistles on low-to-medium flame.
Switch off the flame and let the inside pressure release naturally.
Top with a spoonful of Ghee & Enjoy with hot Chapati/Bread
