Enjoy this super easy and yummy Sookha Kathal/ Jack Fruit. This is a worth trying recipe.
Ingredients required
Kathal (Jack fruit) - 300 gm
Finely Chopped Onion (One Small)
Finely Chopped Green Chilly (One)
Finely Chopped Green Coriander
Gram Flour/ Besan (2 & 1/2 Tea Spoon)
Rice Flour (1 & 1/2 Tea Spoon)
Ginger Garlic Paste (1 & 1/2 Tea Spoon)
Turmeric (1/2 Tea Spoon)
Red Chilly Powder (1/2 Tea Spoon)
Coriander Powder/ Dhaniya (1 Tea Spoon)
Meat Masala (1 Tea Spoon)
Garam Masala (1/4 Tea Spoon)
Salt (To Taste)
Fenugreek Seeds (Methi)
Mustard Oil
Method of Preparation
Boil kathal (Jack Fruit) in a pressure cooker for 2 whistles
Drain and cool it down into a bowl
Add ginger garlic paste, gram flour (besan), rice flour, turmeric, red chilly powder, coriander powder, garam masala, meat masala and salt ( measurement of all these ingredients are mentioned above)
Mix everything well
Add 4 Table Spoon mustard oil in a heated wok
Add fenugreek seeds (methi) and let them splutter
Add chopped onion and chopped green chilly. Saute till it becomes golden brown
Add marinated kathal (jack fruit)
Keep on mixing and frying till it becomes crisp and brown
Add chopped green coriander and mix well
Serve hot.
