Instant Pickle Recipes- Beetroot Pickle, Lemon Chilly Pickle & Spicy Cucumber

Pickles are like - Love sealed in bottles

Well preserved, well deserved and giving you a flavorful experience - little sweet & little spicy


So, let us try some instant, simple yet amazingly delicious pickles




Beetroot Vinegar



Method of Preparation

  • Peel and cut a beetroot into thick strips

  • Add them into a clean and dry jar

  • Pour some white vinegar

  • Let it soak for 2-3 hours before consuming

NOTE - Do not keep it in sun light


TIP - This vinegar dipped beetroot is perfect for wraps, rolls and sandwiches (especially shwarma wrap)



Lemon Chilly Pickle


Method of Preparation

  • Slit green chilly into half (also cut through length, if you are using big ones)

  • Add them to a clean and dry jar

  • Sprinkle half teaspoon salt

  • Squeeze in lemons to fill at least 3/4 of the chilly

  • Consume when chilly changes it's color to faded green



Spicy Cucumber


Method of Preparation

  • Cut the end, rub and remove the bitterness of a cucumber

  • Cut it into small pieces and add them to a bowl

  • Add 1/4 teaspoon asafoetida (hing), 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon black pepper powder and 1 teaspoon red chilly powder

  • Squeeze in half a lemon and mix well

  • Transfer to a jar and consume after 30 minutes

  • This can be stored in refrigerator for up to a week
