Things to know before visiting -
Even if you are travelling in summers, carry warm clothes (especially beanie caps) as the wind is too strong.
Also carry good & comfortable shoes (there are uncountable mini trekking spots)
Mobile networks are weak in this area (you can make calls but making video calls can cause you a headache)
ABOUT - Situated in Chakrata, Chaani Churani is a resort having old fashioned eco-friendly huts made with mud and stones. There is no establishment around this property. You can feel immense calmness and freshness all around. Enjoy both, sunrise and sunset with panoramic views. Whole Chakrata has very friendly mountains, so you can trek to any of them with little effort.
Day 1 (23 April 2022) - We departed at 4:00 AM from Noida and as usual with too many stops, reached our destination at around 2:00 PM.
As we were reaching there, millions of flowers welcomed us with their freshness and beauty. It was just like I stepped into a fairyland. That first sight of Chaani Churani filled with all shades of happiness can't be forgotten.
The huts were all set and clean. We had some chai and pakora and enjoyed pahado ki dhoop.
Later we started exploring the place. There were so many spots to sit and admire the nature and its views. I should really call these mountains the most-friendly ones. You can trek to any one of them and each will give you even better view.
Today, we spent all day roaming, relaxing, eating and gossiping. They arranged the bonfire at night after dinner.
Day 2 (24 April 2022) - We couldn't watch full sunrise today as all of us were too tired from yesterday's excitement. After breakfast we went to Chakrata market, which was 18 Kms from our resort. While planning this trip, I read a lot about Chadana's food joint, so wanted to try that. We tried steamed momos, chicken noodles, crispy & creamy momos and rajma chawal. After exploring the market, we went to a sunrise & sunset point nearby. Now, tell me what do you expect when you hear a viewpoint in moutains?? We mostly expect it to be a small area on a hilltop, but this was not true for this point. OMGggg...this area was so vast...I could arrange a wedding for 5000 people here...!!! 😂
There was also a dedicated viewpoint, but it was too crowded, so we stayed in the open area. The wind was so strong...some of you have to hold on to strong & stable things/people 😁
The views were amazing, one could clearly see the end of the valley. We trekked down various mountains until we didn't need to pause to catch a breath. As the sunset was getting closer, this place got more & more crowded, so headed back to our resort to enjoy a peaceful sunset time.
Day 3 (25 April 2022) - We woke up at 3:00 AM as today was the day when four planets (Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn) were aligned in a straight line and were visible with naked eyed.
What's better than witnessing such a marvel at such a marvelous place. Two from our group are also interested in astrophotography, so such dark locations are just perfect and also, we didn't want to miss the sunrise again. It might be tiring sometimes, but I don't wanna regret later 😍
After breakfast, we wandered on the surrounding roads and mountains & wrapped our trip with lots of laziness which came free with the efforts, sunbath and chilling wind. We also tried Rhododendron juice (Burash ka juice) which was very refreshing.
Finally, we headed back via Yamuna Bridge, which is not to be missed (we discovered this stop accidently, so suggesting you all). You can take a tea break and enjoy some fun or peaceful time (depending upon your company 🤣). Mine you can see in the vlog 😎 and ENJOY 🤩
