Aalu Tikki Cheese Burger - Potato Cheese Burger

Cheesy & Crispy Potato Patty for the "Foodie U" and lettuce & veggies to keep your conscience calm


Ingredients required

  • Boiled Potatoes (2 Large)

  • 1/2 Cup boiled mixed veggies (green peas, green beans & carrots)

  • Bread crumbs

  • Corn Flour

  • Cheese slices

  • Onion

  • Tomato

  • Lettuce leaves

  • Chilly flakes

  • Green chilly

  • Black pepper powder

  • Tomato ketch up

  • Mayonnaise/Mustard dressing/Caesar dressing or any dressing of your choice

  • Salt

  • Burger buns

  • Oil to fry


Method of Preparation

  • Mash 2 boiled potatoes (you can also grate them, if you don't like lumps in your patty)

  • Add half cup boiled and mixed veggies

  • Add salt and black pepper powder (as per taste)

  • Add 2 finely chopped green chilly and 1/2 teaspoon chilly flakes (add chilly flakes, only if you want your patty spicy)

  • Add 1 teaspoon corn flour and 3 tablespoon bread crumbs.

  • Mix well to make a nicely bonded mixture and shape it into thick, round and flat patties.

  • Deep or shallow fry the patties till they become crispy and brown from both sides.

  • Cut burger buns into half and layer the lower bun with your favorite dressing (or combination of dressings)

  • Add onion and tomato slices and some lettuce leaves on it.

  • Transfer fried patty from oil to a hot tawa (flat pan) and add a cheese slice on top of it. Let it melt slightly, so that it grabs the patty.

  • Add this cheese topped patty on the bun and spread some tomato ketch up.

  • Cover up with the top bun and ENJOY a nice big cheesy bite.
